Lavandula angustifolia Platinum Blonde™

English Lavender

USDA Zone: 6-9

Plant number: 1.315.280

(='Momparler') Lavender is an old fashioned plant with a long history as a fragrant herb, but always appreciated for its showy spikes of flowers and attractive gray leaves. This variety has very fragrant grey foliage featuring a cream border and soft blue flowers on taller stems. Plants are technically evergreen shrubs , but may need some winter protection in colder regions. Lavender also demands very good drainage and will perish in heavy, wet clay soils. Plants should be sheared lightly after blooming, or in early spring before new growth starts. Drought tolerant, once established. Hardiness is still being tested on this new selection of an all-time favourite perennial and may prove to be hardier than Zone 6. USPP#23834: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
