This terrific Canadian selection has bright yellow leaves in spring, fading to chartreuse in summer when short spikes of pink flowers appear. Useful in the rock garden, containers, or for edging the border. Attractive to butterflies. Inclined to spread to form a patch, but easy to control by edging. Evergreen in mild winter regions. Plants may be pruned to maintain a low height, if desired. Discovered as a sport of the plain green species form, by Jack Broxholme of Burlington, Ontario around 1999. Further details for |
