In the second year it produces upright stems with tiny, airy flowers surrounded by show chartreuse-yellow bracts that absolutely glow. Combines especially well with late season tulips. A gentle self seeder, not weedy. Terrific cut flower.. First year plants are low and insignificant, easily growing in between more interesting border perennials. Black seeds should be allowed to seed themselves, or sow them as soon as ripe. Plants die during summer (after blooming) and should be removed. Further details for |
