This is a very compact variety bearing starry soft lilac-mauve flowers, each with a tiny rose eye. Do not prune in fall or spring, but clip lightly immediately after blooming if plants become straggly. Wonderful in the sunny rock garden, for edging, or in alpine troughs and other containers.
