Helleborus ‘First Dance’

Lenten Rose

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.725.170

The Lenten Rose is an easy spring blooming perennial for the shady woodland garden. This selection is part of the WEDDING PARTY® Series from Walters Gardens, Inc. hybridizer Hans Hansen selected for vigour, showy floral displays with a large number of blossoms per plant and rich flower colours. Plants produce bushy clumps of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy cup-shaped blooms. H. ‘First Dance’ features double, light to mid yellow flowers with maroon picotee edging and veining. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter to give the flowers maximum impact. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
