Farfugium japonicum ‘Aureomaculatum’
Plant number: 1.212.100Known as the Leopard Plant, this is a less hardy cousin of the familiar perennial Ligularia. In Zones 1 through 6 this is best grown in a pot or tub, so plants can be wintered indoors. Forms an evergreen mound of large, rounded leaves, dark green in colour, with unusual bright yellow polka-dots. Short spikes of yellow daisies may appear in late fall. Superb as a foliage accent, particularly with gold-leaved companion plants. Clumps may be divided in early spring, but be sure to cut back some of the leaves at the same time. Further details for |
