Plant number: 1.193.110(=‘Rotlicht’) A selection of the Sierra Shooting Star, native in western North America. Plants form a low rosette of rounded leaves, bearing taller stems of magenta flowers with a yellow centre. Petals flare back, giving each blossom a star-like or cyclamen appearance. Prefers a moist to wet site and neutral to acidic soil. These will usually go completely dormant and disappear by mid summer, so mark well and do not disturb.
