Plant number: 1.157.230This unique Clematis is not quite a climbing vine, but its vigorous, upright habit makes it useful for either sprawling through shrubs or tying on to a pillar or fence. Plants burst into clouds of very pale blue starry flowers in late summer, followed by fluffy seed heads, which give interest well into the winter. A nice filler, and great for cutting. Also may be used as a sprawling groundcover, particularly effective growing well in dry woodland conditions. Plants may be divided in spring, but will take the season to re-establish.
