Plant number: 9.015.090This crested form of the Japanese Painted Fern is similar to ‘Pictum’ in colour with arching triangular leaves of dark green overlaid in olive and silvery-pewter with contrasting burgundy stems. Each leaf is crested up the sides and onto the tip. Terrific for edging the shade border, in the rock garden and in containers. Low mounding habit. Deciduous. Performs best in rich, evenly moist soil. Leaves may be trimmed to the ground in late fall or early spring. Plants are easily divided in spring, every 3 to 4 years.
