Sandworts are generally used in rock garden situations, requiring well-drained sandy soil to really thrive well. This species is very hardy, forming a low cushion of green pine-needle type leaves, and bearing small starry white flowers in late spring and early summer. Also nice in trough gardens and mixed containers, and low enough to use in between flagstones. Drought tolerant, once established. Plants are easily divided in spring or early fall. Evergreen.
