Dianthus ‘Appleblossom Burst’

Border Pinks

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.181.460

Border Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. The new PRETTY POPPERS® series features semi-double and double flowering cultivars in a range of colours. The flowers are held erect on upright stems over a compact mound. This selection has semi-double flowers in a mixture of white to intense pink blush over grey-green foliage. Attractive to butterflies. Deadhead regularly to encourage more buds to form. Plants require good drainage and are an excellent choice for hot dry sites or gravelly soils. Combines beautifully with other low alpine plants. The flower petals of all types of Dianthus are edible. Evergreen. Bred by Walters Gardens, Inc. USPP#31454: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
