A low mounding evergreen shrub, this is ideal for the rock garden, wall or as a border edging. It bears large clusters of soft lavender-pink flowers with the most intoxicatingly sweet and pleasant fragrance during late spring and early summer. Leaves are glossy and dark green. Performs best in part shade and in evenly moist but well-drained soil, preferable neutral to acidic. Slow but easy, much more reliable than many of the other dwarf Daphne species and selections. A hybrid between D. arbuscula ◊ collin, named for the founder of the famous alpine nursery, Siskiyou Rare Plants. Quite possibly hardy to Zone 5 or colder in a spot with reliable winter snowcover and out of the northwest wind.
