Leucanthemum × superbum ‘Macaroon’

Dwarf Shasta Daisy

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.850.280

(Formerly Chrysanthemum maximum) Shasta Daisies enjoy universal appeal as a garden plant and cutflower. They are easy perennials that perform best in a sunny border. This dwarf selection introduced by Terra Nova Nurseries, Inc. is described as the perfect little “cookie”. It forms a low, tight mound and is well-branched with many stems. The double flowers start out yellow but open to bicolour white with yellow centers, then mature to white with gold centres. Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming time. Good strong stems support the blooms well. Shasta Daisy is a well-behaved garden hybrid, and should not be confused with the weedy Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare). USSP#26905: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
