Sedum bithynicum ‘Sea Stars’

Turkish Stonecrop

USDA Zone: 3-9

Plant number: 1.485.240

A carpeting variety of Stonecrop, especially useful in hot sunny sites. The narrow grey-green leaves have a fine texture almost like soft spruce needles, with tiny white star-shaped flowers appearing in midsummer. Useful as a lawn substitute for small to medium-sized areas, also between flagstones or in the rock garden. Plants will tolerate poor soil so long as drainage is good. Easily propagated by breaking off pieces and sticking them in the ground in mid spring. Tolerates occasional to light foot traffic. Evergreen. May be the same as Sedum hispanicum minor.
