Lobelia ‘Ruby Slippers’
Hybrid Lobelia |
USDA Zone: 5-9 |
Plant number: 1.328.370
The perennial Lobelias have upright spikes of large flowers, not at all like the more familiar trailing types grown in hanging baskets. They are terrific plants for the moist garden, adapting well to 'wet feet', but growing equally well under average conditions. This beautiful selection bears glowing ruby-red flowers through late summer and fall, over a clump of dark-green leaves. In colder regions plants should be mulched well for the winter. Nice for cutting. Attractive to both butterflies and hummingbirds. Registered with COPF: royalty required for propagation. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten.
