Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with literally hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This midsized selection hs puckered leaves that emerge with creamy-white centres, chartreuse streaking and blue-green margins, each one different than the next. The centres lighten to white and the streaking changes to apple-green as the season progresses. White flowers appear in midsummer and may attract hummingbirds. Suitable for edging or planting in tubs and mixed containers. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid-spring.
