Hosta are among the most popular of perennials for shady areas, with hundreds of varieties now readily available. Plants form sturdy mounds of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This enormous specimen selection has thick, pointy medium-green leaves with a creamy-white margin that shows by early summer. White flowers appear in late July. Good slug resistance. Clumps may be easily divided in the spring or fall. A sport of H. nigrescens ‘Elatior’ selected by Q & Z Nursery in Illinois. Selected as the 2015 Hosta of the Year by the American Hosta Growers Association.
