Helleborus ‘Ballerina Ruffles’

Winter Thrillers Hellebore

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.255.620

The Winter Thrillers™ series of Lenten Rose are easy and colourful spring bloomers for the shade garden. Plants produce bushy mounds of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing showy, large, cup-shaped blooms. This selection has fluffy, double blooms in shades of pink, some with purple speckling. The leaves emerge a rich mahogany shade in spring before maturing to dark green. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter before the buds emerge, to allow the flowers maximum impact. Bred and introduced by Chris Hansen. CAUTION: Harmful if eaten/Skin irritant.
