The Border selections of Cranesbill Geranium are valuable fillers for colour in early to mid summer. This long-flowering hybrid forms a mound of deeply-cut green foliage, bearing large cup-shaped purple-blue flowers. Plants need to be cut back hard after blooming to encourage fresh new foliage. Appreciates a moist site. Easily divided in spring or fall. Often has attractive red fall colour. Rates highly as one of the best new blue selections.
