Echinacea Mango Meadowbrite™

Meadowbrite Coneflower

USDA Zone: 4-9

Plant number: 1.196.940

(=‘CBG Cone 3’) This hybrid offers a total colour breakthrough in Coneflowers. Large single blooms have neon mango-yellow petals surrounding a deep golden-orange cone. Flowers have a sweet honeysuckle fragrance, appearing from midsummer well into the autumn and attracting butterflies like a magnet. Flowers are held on branching stems above a low mound of narrow dark green leaves. Excellent for cutting. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more buds to form. Blooming is best with full sun conditions. This first appeared as a chance mutation of Orange Meadowbrite™ and was introduced by the Chicago Botanic Garden in 2004. USPP#16636: unlicensed propagation prohibited. Registered with COPF.
