Dianthus subacaulis ‘Gary Eichhorn’

This selection of Pinks is especially useful as an edging plant or in the sunny rock garden. It forms a low cushion of grey-green leaves, bearing small starry medium-pink single flowers in late spring with a sweet clove fragrance. Drought-tolerant once established. Clip lightly after blooming. Evergreen, so do not prune in fall or spring. Suitable for scree gardens or alpine troughs. Not always easy to divide, but this can be attempted in early spring or fall.
