Verbascum ‘Flower of Scotland’
Plant number: 1.537.090One of the most compact Mullein selections yet introduced, this is absolutely perfect in containers, for edging borders or in the sunny rock garden. Crispy-green leaves are held in a low rosette, bearing short spikes of satiny blooms for months, in an unusual shade of brick to wine red. Flowers fade to antique pink during the heat of summer. Remove spent blooms to encourage more buds. Discovered by Dick Maas of the Netherlands, growing along a roadside when he was vacationing in Scotland. USPPP: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
