Plants are sturdy and upright, and seldom troubled by Iris borer. This midsized selection has deep violet-purple blooms with a yellow throat, and a golden pencil edge to each petal. Excellent at the waterside, or in a moist border. Also suitable for using in tubs and mixed containers. Siberian Iris are tolerant of wet sites, and will even grow in the shallow water at the edge of a pond or stream. Easily divided in early fall, every 3 to 4 years. Great for cutting.
