Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This very large specimen is considered a Premium Hosta and features smooth, intense gold, heart-shaped leaves with lavender flowers in early summer. Fast grower. Bright, filtered shade will provide the most intense gold colouration. To be considered a Premium Hosta, these varieties must pass a number of tests and are evaluated by experts who have over 150 years of combined experience growing hosta. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years.
