Plants form a sturdy mound of foliage, topped with lily-like blooms. This small specimen has long narrow leaves with dark green, heavily rippled margins and gold centres that lighten to cream. Lavender flowers in late summer. Hosta go completely dormant in the fall, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid spring. Easily divided in either spring or fall, but plants may be left alone for years. A tetraploid sport of H. ‘Kabitan’ but displays improved vigour, more pronounced variegation and a more upright habit.
