Plant number: 1.255.480The Winter Jewels™ series of Lenten Rose are easy and colourful spring bloomers for the shade garden that have been hand-bred from only the best plants collected from around the globe. Plants produce bushy mounds of thick, leathery evergreen leaves. Flower stalks appear in early spring, bearing large, showy cup-shaped blooms. This selection has single blooms of ivory to soft yellow, with dramatic crimson-red brushstrokes in the centre. Site these where they will stay for many years, since the plants resent being disturbed. Great in part shade. Trim the old leaves to the ground in late winter before the buds emerge, to allow the flowers maximum impact. Bred and introduced by Marietta O’Byrne of Oregon.
