Dianthus ‘Dottie’

Cheddar Pinks

USDA Zone: 2-9

Plant number: 1.180.390

Cheddar Pinks have been popular in gardens for centuries. This selection forms a low cushion of grassy green foliage. The sweetly-scented single flowers are white with a contrasting crimson eye, the petals delicately fringed. Usually repeat blooms reliably in late summer. Excellent addition to the sunny rock garden, alpine trough or for edging. Plants should be trimmed lightly after blooming to maintain a tight, compact mound. Not always easy to divide, but this can be attempted in spring or early fall. Evergreen.
