This variation of the old-fashioned Granny’s Bonnet, also known as Ladies Petticoat or Doves of the Fountain, forms fully double, spurless white flowers. Foliage makes a low ferny mound of dark, grey-green leaves. Excellent for cutting. Wonderful in containers, the front of the border and in the woodland garden. Since Columbines are relatively short-lived, allow some of the plants to go to seed and self sow. Leaf miner or sawfly may disfigure the leaves around flowering time.
