Plant number: 1.040.060Native throughout northern Europe, the Wood Anemone is a charming plant for the early spring garden. Clumps creep slowly to form a groundcover, studded with star shaped flowers. This selection has blooms of deep lavender-blue, streaked purple on the backside. Combines beautifully with spring-flowering bulbs and wildflowers, particularly yellow narcissus. Once the clumps get large they may be divided in early fall by digging and ripping apart into pieces.
